Com 2 valores de dureza na escala de Mohs, este é um cristal de alta vibração que tem a capacidade de se limpar e de limpar energeticamente outros cristais com que esteja em contacto. Existem diversas cores e variedades de Selenite (a Rosa do Deserto, por exemplo, é uma delas).
